Rigathi Gachagua Drops Bombshell Allegations Over June 25 Gen Z Protests: ‘They Want Your Children’s Blood!

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has sent shockwaves across the nation with explosive claims regarding the upcoming June 25 demonstrations planned by Gen Z youth. In a fiery interview with Kameme TV on Monday, June 16, Gachagua urged young Kenyans to reconsider taking to the streets, alleging that a deadly trap has been laid to harm them.

Gachagua accused President William Ruto and Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja of planning to infiltrate the peaceful protests with hired goons. According to him, these goons, sourced from areas such as Umoja and Kayole, have been tasked with causing chaos and killing protesters to silence dissent.

"I'm worried that if our Gen Z come out, the government will use thugs to kill them. Together with the governor of Nairobi, thugs will be brought from Umoja, Kayole, and other places to kill the children," Gachagua stated with grave concern. "I would prefer that Gen Z not take to the streets because they will be set up and killed."

The Democracy for the Citizen's Party (DCP) leader emphasized that these alleged plans were already in motion and warned parents to keep their children away from what he described as a premeditated slaughter. "Sakaja has already organised goons to attack the protesters. These people have an insatiable thirst for blood. I don't know why they love the blood of young people. William Ruto loves young people’s blood," he said.

Gachagua also revisited the narrative surrounding last week’s demonstrations demanding the arrest of Deputy Inspector General Eliud Lagat over the controversial death of Albert Ojwang Omondi. He questioned the government’s version of events, especially claims that several vehicles had been set ablaze by demonstrators in the Nairobi CBD.

"There was no car that was burnt. No one entered a report with the police claiming their car had been burnt. The cars that were burned were checked on the NTSA portal and were found not to be registered to anyone," he claimed, suggesting the incident was staged.

The former DP believes the government is fabricating such events to justify brutal police crackdowns on peaceful citizens. His remarks come at a time of rising tension and public unrest following the mysterious death of Ojwang, which has sparked countrywide outrage among young people.

As the date for the next protest draws closer, Gachagua’s bold allegations are likely to intensify scrutiny on the government and raise even more questions about its commitment to democracy and human rights.
