A young Kenyan woman, popularly known as Kabei on TikTok, has received a life-changing job offer from a local real estate company following her emotional farewell message ahead of the June 25 protests.
In a heartfelt TikTok video, Kabei poured out her frustrations as a graduate who remained jobless despite completing her studies. Her moving words struck a chord with thousands of Kenyans, particularly the youth, many of whom share similar struggles.
"This is the last thing I want to say before I die tomorrow. They told us to go to school because education is the key to success... Our parents broke their backs to see us graduate. And now, I’m jobless and hopeless," Kabei said in the viral video.
The clip quickly circulated on social media, prompting overwhelming support. Moved by her courage and pain, a Nairobi-based land and property company stepped forward and offered her a job.
"You do not need to give up. We are looking for you and ready to give you a job," the company announced online.
